Synopsis:

• Young people perhaps succumbing to peer pressure display bravado as they play down the role of Jesus–others who say they don’t know admit to thinking about the question a lot.
• Who is Jesus? Answers include not knowing, someone who lives upstairs and has a beard, a nice guy whose stories have been exaggerated, a figure people look up to, and a character in a book.
• Interviewer engages people –when a woman says he looks like Elvis and that she’ll answer his question if he sings, he accommodates with a few bars of “Fools Rush In”.
• Some give testimony to the Lord –that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, and that He’s the true Son of God. The video ends with a man who is possibly homeless proclaiming that he has been promised by God—eternal life.
• What’s clear in this video is the honesty of some non-believers about Jesus.
• One guy refers to the dilemma as “mental acrobatics” that his view of Jesus changes from day to day. A woman who attended Sunday School as a child admits to turning to Jesus when in trouble – but doesn’t think about him very often.
• Filmed in black and white, filmmakers incorporate blue, red, and brown tones as well. Interesting angles and use of symmetric boxes.
• Effective use of iconic representations of Jesus with various names ascribed to Him –including “Jew, friend, Lord, Savior, Liar, Myth”

• Fundamentally this is the question that every person has to answer –who is Jesus?

• The toothless elderly man who appears at the end of the video is one of the richest people featured because he has eternal life
